The 2009 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational was a golf tournament that was contested from August 6–9, 2009 over the South Course at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. It was the eleventh WGC-Bridgestone Invitational tournament, and the third of four World Golf Championships events held in 2009. World number 1 Tiger Woods won the tournament, and claimed his sixteenth World Golf Championships title, which was his seventh Invitational title.
